McKenzie was born and raised in Northern Colorado where her family had cattle and owned a horse barn building business. Working for the family business is where she learned the value of customer service and the drive to go above and beyond for your customers. McKenzie started her college career at Colby Community College and graduated from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with an Animal Science degree.  Prior to joining the Hurley team, she spent time at a large feedlot in Nebraska and worked as a Livestock Production Specialist with Purina for 12 years.  During this time, she had the opportunity to meet many producers in the area and has learned that every operation may run a little differently but yet they all share the same passion for the agricultural industry as a whole, and strive to not only keep it alive but continue to make it better every day. McKenzie, along with her husband Ryan and their son live outside Britton, SD where they also run Simmental cattle.  They enjoy spending time outside, being in the pastures and spending time with friends and family.
